Review: Faking Under the Mistletoe by Ashley Shepherd

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Rating: 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Steam Level: 🔥

Olivia has exactly zero chill when it comes to Christmas. As the social media intern at a prestigious NYC PR firm, she is the little elf in charge of making everyone’s Christmas dreams come true. If only everyone (specifically her boss, Asher) shared her love of the holidays and affinity for anything sugar plum flavored or doused in fake snow. When Asher’s ex-girlfriend makes an appearance with her new boyfriend and Olivia sees the hurt in his eyes, she doesn’t think, she just kisses him and immediately crafts a fake relationship to make it seem like he’s moved on. The only issue is, Asher thinks Olivia’s the most annoying person on the planet and isn’t exactly thrilled to be her fake boyfriend. But Olivia has a way of making herself right at home in people’s spaces and hearts and once Asher starts to give in to his feelings, he’s a goner.

Holy moly I LOVED this one! And it wasn’t until I was over halfway through it that I realized it’s by semisweetfiction. You guys, this book is a delightfully hilarious Christmas treat and you should bump it up to the top of your TBR immediately! The quick witted pacing between Asher & Olivia will have you laughing out loud page after page. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and you’ll swoon every time Asher’s grinchey heart thaws a little as he begins to accept his feelings for Olivia. I can’t recommend this one enough.
