Review: The Husband Checklist by Jasmin Miller

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Steam Level: 🔥🔥

When childhood best friends Julia and Carter reunite after Julia is unceremoniously kicked out by her boyfriend, Julia first uses Carter as a sounding board for how she’s going to get her life back together. After more brainstorming, her Husband Checklist is born, but the more time she spends with Carter, the more she wishes he was able to check all the boxes. But commitment isn’t Carter’s thing. At least he didn’t think so until he spends some…adult time with Julia…in Vegas. Okay, they have sex in Vegas and then can’t seem to figure out how they’re supposed to keep their hands off each other.

This one was super cute, light and fluffy. A little predictable, sure. But sometimes it’s nice to just read something by a trusted author that you know you’ll enjoy. Light on the angst, heavy on the swoons for Carter, (he’s adorable). Jasmin hits us again with another hottie to add to the book boyfriend list. I will say, Julia had to grow on me a little bit. She was a little too all over the place for me and a bit immature at the beginning. But the reader gets to see her grow up a lot and come into her own and that’s always nice. Another great read from a great indie author!
