Review: Down Too Deep by J. Daniels

Genre: Contemporary Romance/RomCom

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Steam Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

“Wake up, Nathan.” It’s what his parents desperately want and need him to do: wake up out of the perpetual fog he’s been in for nearly two years and take care of his daughter, Marley. But that’s easier said than done. Nathan can’t just snap his fingers and magically be better after losing his wife. And he certainly can’t wake up one day and be the father Marley needs and deserves. But Jenna and her twins, Oliver & Olivia come into his life exactly when he and Marley need them. Jenna originally agreed to help Nathan because she and her kids had an instant connection with Marley. But it doesn’t take long for any of them to realize they’re all connecting and this could very well be what they’ve all been missing for so long.

Excuse me if none of this review makes sense because I think I’m still swooning over here. I loved this book so much that I would totally give it more than five stars if I could. Nathan Bell, you have formally been accepted into the Queen Bee Reads Book Boyfriend Club. Y’all, he wears glasses AND a backward baseball hat. Do I even really need to tell you any more about him? No? Well I will anyway: single dad who lost his wife unexpectedly, former college football player, smart, funny, amazing with kids, and champion flirt. But let’s not forget about Jenna: single mom of twins, fun, smart, gentle, patient, strong, and heart of damn gold. They are literally one of the cutest book couples ever. I loved their flirty banter, even when they were awkward. And they were plenty awkward. In the best possible way. And you guys…THE STEAM. Like, Nathan’s glasses fogging up steam. So good. So funny. So damn cute I could die. I LOVED THIS BOOK.
